Dr. Stuart Licht (BS, Princeton University; PhD, MIT) was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at MIT from 2002-2008, at which point he was recruited as a Lab Head by Novartis Institute of Biomedical Research, then spent several years as Lab Head in Oncology at Sanofi-Aventis/Sanofi, and has just joined Moderna Therapeutics, Cambridge, as Associate Director of Protein Sciences. Dr. Licht will talk about factors you should consider when contemplating a move from an academic setting to industry, and will answer questions about his own experience in making this transition.
