Its format may have evolved over the years, if only to reflect new ways to communicate, but its purpose has not changed: a curriculum vitæ must establish a candidate’s competencies and enable rapid, selective access to the information provided. In this lecture, Jean-luc Doumont will discuss what to include in a curriculum vitæ, how to format it, and how to write an effective cover letter, as a recent graduate or as a more experienced professional.
This event is targeted to GSAS students and postdocs in STEM fields and is co-sponsored by the SEAS Graduate Council and SEAS Academic Office.
Jean-luc Doumont (Speaker) runs conceptual discussions in plenary class meetings. An articulate, entertaining, and thought-provoking speaker, he successfully reaches a wide range of audiences worldwide, as a trainer or an invited speaker at companies, top-ranked universities, research laboratories, and major conferences.
