The Harvard Graduate Volunteer Consulting Group (HGVCG) - Application deadline

The Harvard Graduate Volunteer Consulting Group (HGVCG) is looking for enthusiastic candidates as associates for the upcoming Spring 2016 engagement, which will start in the 1st week of March. The HGVCG was founded in 2008 and has provided pro bono consulting services to over a dozen clients, from small startups to publicly traded multi-million dollar companies, and on topics ranging from business model development to market expansion strategies.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Must be a Harvard-affiliated graduate student (MBA, Masters, JD, MD, PhD, or other doctorate) or a post-doc.
• Cannot be graduating before May 2016.
• No experience in business or consulting expected or required.
• No requirement on subject of study. HGVCG is looking for a team of 6 dedicated, creative thinkers across a broad range of disciplines.

 
Description of Commitment

• The engagement is intense and requires an 8-10 week commitment that involves large and small group meetings involving presentations and discussions. HGVCG commitment resembles that of part-time work.  There will be deadlines, but you will have the flexibility to complete the work whenever it is most convenient for you.
• A final report and two final presentations will be given to the client, one in the middle and one at the end of the engagement. Final recommendation is presented approximately one week after the last group meeting.
• Attendance at the interviews and team meetings are mandatory.
