DESCRIPTION:
The Life Sciences Education Office offers a series of four workshops for graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other researchers who mentor or wish to mentor undergraduates in the laboratory or field. You can attend a single workshop or all four; we welcome your participation!

The third mentoring workshop focuses on handling challenging situations. What do you do if an undergraduate wants to switch projects or mentors or seems to have lost motivation? We will discuss several cases studies to explore these topics in more detail. We also encourage you to reflect on any challenging situations you may have encountered. We’ll also briefly discuss appropriate ways to celebrate undergraduate achievements.

Margaret A. Lynch, PhD, Life Sciences Undergraduate Research Advisor, organizes and facilitates this workshop series. In 2016 we are offering a total of four mentoring workshops. If you attend all four workshops, you will be recognized with a certificate of completion.

Lunch will be provided to pre-registrants

To register, RSVP to Ricardo Mora at rmora@fas.harvard.edu.
