A networking reception with speakers and attendees will follow from 5-6 p.m.

Hear the stories of four successful executives who pursued various opportunities outside academia. From their initial foray into industry to facing their ongoing challenges and opportunities, these panelists intend to share their unique journeys past and present.

The day-to-day work at emerging companies varies greatly from academic life -- and from company to company. Three individuals who made the transition will talk through their experiences moving to industry, and offer a glimpse into their lives as leaders of their respective organizations.
Navigating the Job Search and Getting Hired
Once you are interested in pursuing a career at an emerging company, how do you best begin and navigate the job search? Hear what companies are looking for in their candidates, and how best to engage with recruiters and leaders to land the ideal job.
