SUMMARY:Zoom: Career Transitions--Top 10 List: Things Scientists Ask About Moving to a Career Outside Academia
DESCRIPTION:
These days, staying in academia is really the “alternative” career for scientists. The majority of young scientists will not end up in a traditional academic research position. This presentation will give you some criteria to consider in deciding which non-academic path may be right for you and then will provide concrete tools and resources for preparing for this transition.

<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="8a9ce2f4-d349-4cc3-a439-8c868283ad04" data-align="left" alt="Kamens pic"></drupal-media>Joanne Kamens, Ph.D., has served since 2011 as the Executive Director of Addgene, a mission-driven, nonprofit dedicated to accelerating research by helping scientists around the world share reagents.
