Engage is a new, hands-on initiative by the GSAS Harvard Biotechnology Club modeled around the DMS nano-course. Engage workshops are designed to equip students with concrete skills relevant to careers in biotech. Each workshop will be taught by leading experts in the respective realms, and consist of two sessions containing a combination of lecture-based learning and hands-on assignments.

 
The first Engage workshop will cover Revenue Forecasting - an essential tool for entrepreneurs, e.g. for strategic decisions and communications with investors. The lecture portion of the workshop will cover market analysis and at the end of the session participants will be assigned a deliverable due at the second session. The assignment portion will consist of building a spreadsheet to forecast revenues in a detailed manner using a concrete, hypothetical example of a therapeutic. Participants can expect to take home the skill of building a revenue forecast using a template obtained during the workshop, that can be applied to any therapeutic asset.
