The focus will be largely on peer reviewing Teaching Statements. Any postdoc who has a document drafted is encouraged to attend. And importantly: fellows DID NOT have to attend part 2A to register.

Workshop Part 2B will happen on November 20th from 6:00-7:30pm, and will work as follows:

  1. Register via Eventbrite.
  2. Postdocs submit their statements one week prior to the workshop. We will create a link for uploading with relevant instructions and send via your registered email.
  3. Participants will be matched ** IN ADVANCE** to read statements – usually in pairs. Please, if you register for this event, do your very best to attend. Your partner will be depending on you.
  4. Peer review happens inside the workshop.
  5. You will disperse and be well-equipped to prepare your application packages!

The session will be hosted by Dr. Sarah Hokanson, Assistant Provost, Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs, Boston University. Dr. Hokanson has extensive experience with postdoc career development and planning, including interview documentation and interview preparation.
