 Presenter: Elizabeth Phimister, Deputy Editor, New England Journal of Medicine

 Bette Phimister, PhD, currently serves as a deputy editor for the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). Prior to joining NEJM she was a graduate of the University of London and she served as an assistant editor and then as the chief editor of the journal Nature Genetics. Much of Phimister’s work has centered around genetics and genomics and how to use genetic testing to predict potential future illnesses and preemptively treat them.
