With continued uncertainty in the higher ed landscape, the academic job market is both unpredictable and very competitive...though there are glimmers of a rebound from last year’s hiring freezes. How can you maximize your candidacy and successfully land a faculty or postdoc position? What do search committees look for in candidates…and what can reduce your chances?

Come to this event to hear advice, perspectives, and stories from experienced professors in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences, with an introduction by GSAS Dean Emma Dench. GSAS Dean of Students, Sam Bersola, will moderate.

- Kyrah Malika Daniels – Assistant Professor of Art History and of African & African Diaspora Studies, Boston College
- Kara McKinley – Assistant Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology
- Victor Seow – Assistant Professor of the History of Science
- Ajantha Subramanian – Professor of Anthropology and South Asian Studies
